Nalini Jairath is Associate  Professor, School of Nursing, The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. and former Dean, School of Nursing. Her earlier research was in the area of cardiovascular risk reduction. More recently, her scholarly work has addressed the need for a more inclusive community of nurse scientists through global outreach and greater openness to those with transdisciplinary education/perspectives.  She is the author of two books, and over 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is on the Editorial Board of Nursing Research,  has chaired  Scientific Review Panels, for the Tri-Service Nursing Research Program for over five years, and is the immediate past Chair, Research Leadership Network, American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
