  • Dr. Rebecca C. Robert is an Associate Professor in the Conway School of Nursing at The Catholic University of America. She is an interdisciplinary, applied nurse and public health scientist with professional training as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Her research addresses the broad question of how to best promote healthy growth and development in infants and young children through optimal nutrition. Dr. Robert studies breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices in under-resourced populations where health disparities are common. Dr. Robert has conducted several formative research studies in low and middle-income countries to develop culturally appropriate interventions to improve feeding practices for infants and children. Currently, her studies involve feeding practices and development of the microbiome during the first year of life, and factors associated with breastfeeding disparities in Washington DC and globally. 

    Dr. Robert holds a PhD in International Public Health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. She completed her BSN at Valparaiso University and holds a MS in Nursing from the University of Minnesota.
