Committed to the Education of the Whole Person
We have a number of initiatives in place to support relationships between faculty and students. Our goal is to help you succeed and educate you as a whole person, so that you grow into the nurse and professional you are called to be. We believe that wholistic individual development leads to better nurses, and prepares you to be a light to the world.
Ways That We Help Support You
We understand that your pursuit is a noble one — and involves hard work and challenges. These are just a few ways that we're here to support your development and help you balance things.

Well-Rounded College Experience
We encourage our students to have a well-rounded college experience and help how we can in supporting that. Whether it's rigorous classes or managing your clinical rotations, many of our students still find time to be involved on campus as an athlete, leader, member of a favorite club, or even participate in study abroad.

Academic Counseling
Each student has an assigned faculty advisor who helps them select courses and access student support services. We also have a dedicated academic liaison that assists students as they navigate the transition from high school to college life.

Dedicated Clinical Support
Clinicals are rewarding but also challenging. During clinical rotations, our students are supported by a full-time, responsive clinical coordinator who is accessible to both our students and our clinical partners. Our students also have competent, attentive "preceptors" (nurse mentors) who help advise and guide them in the profession.

Practicing Faculty Here to Advise
Many of our faculty, including the dean of the school, are still involved in direct clinical practice with patients every week. This ensures not only that our faculty are current in the latest trends in nursing and healthcare — but also able to relate to your experience training for this profession.

Student Nurses' Association
Students can get involved in our Student Nurses' Association (SNA), and find support among peers in this student-led, professionally oriented organization for the academic, clinical, and leadership development of those pursuing a career in nursing. A faculty advisor also works closely with the SNA each year.
