  • Dr. Reiko Asano is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Catholic University of America Conway School of Nursing. She earned a PhD from Johns Hopkins University and completed a two-year research fellowship at the Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Asano’s research interest continues in improving cardiovascular disease, symptom management, and palliative care. Her dissertation work focused on examining breathlessness in patients with chronic heart failure. Dr. Asano’s research goals include reducing health disparities and improving the quality of care and outcomes for cardiovascular and critical care patients. Dr. Asano is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, the International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing where she currently serves as the board director, and the first Joanne and William Conway Endowed Scholar from Johns Hopkins.
