Dr. Marysanta Bigony is a clinical assistant professor in the Conway School of Nursing at The Catholic University of America. She earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Prince George's Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Master of Science in Nursing (2004) and a Ph.D (2007) from The Catholic University of America. She also earned a Master of Arts in Theology from St. Joseph College of Maine (2020) and a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Cenacle School of Spiritual Direction (2022). She maintains certification as a Certified Case Manager and Public Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is also a Maryland-certified Emergency Medical Technician - B in the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad and employed in a local parish as the Director of Health Ministry and Pastoral Care. Dr. Bigony's interests include spiritual care, end-of-life care, and community health.
