Dr. Rebecca C. Robert is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. She holds a BSN from Valparaiso University and a MS in nursing from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Robert completed her PhD in International public health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University where she was awarded a National Science Research Award from the National Institutes of Health to conduct her doctoral research in Peru—a process evaluation of a intervention trial to improve the nutrition and growth of infants and young children.
Dr. Robert’s research interests center on the nutrition and healthy growth of infants and young children in both low/middle income countries and the United States. Her expertise is informative research to develop interventions, and process evaluation to examine their implementation with the use of mixed methods. She has served as a consultant for the World Health Organization and has authored a number of scholarly papers in the field of child nutrition. Dr. Robert maintains a clinical practice in pediatric primary care at a community clinic in Washington D.C. with a largely immigrant population. She is a nationally certified pediatric nurse practitioner.
