  • Dr. Selzer is the Associate Dean for Online Learning and the Director for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She also serves as a clinical assistant professor for the Catholic University of America School of Nursing, teaching in graduate-level courses. Dr. Selzer received her BSN from Rush University in Chicago and began her nursing career in the emergency department. Dr. Selzer completed her MSN and acute care nurse practitioner education at Loyola University in Chicago, and later her DNP from Missouri State University.

    Dr. Selzer is a nationally certified Adult ACNP. She has a variety of experiences in emergency medicine, emergency preparedness, flight nursing, and critical care medicine. She currently resides in North Texas and continues to practice in trauma and critical care at the county hospital and Level I Trauma Center in Fort Worth. Dr. Selzer previously developed the AGACNP program for Texas Christian University and joined CUA in 2023 to build this specialty tract for the Conway School of Nursing Graduate Program. Dr. Selzer is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP), and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF).
