One of the significant factors contributing to the national nursing shortage is a national shortage of nursing faculty members.  Thanks to generous donations from Mr. Bill Conway, Mr. Joseph Hall, and Mrs. Catherine Hall, the Conway School of Nursing has opened a Center for Future FacultyDirected by Vice Dean, Martha Scheckel, PhD. RN. CNE., and in collaboration with schools of nursing at Trinity Washington University, Howard University, and George Washington University, nurses interested in pursuing a faculty role in the future receive stipend support to take graduate coursework in nursing education.  Eligible graduates may sit for the national exam to become Certified Nurse Educators (CNE).

How Can You Partner with Us to Advance the Mission of Catholic University and Conway School of Nursing? Generous donations from alumni and friends of the Conway School of Nursing have allowed us to recruit an amazing class of future nurses into our BSN Program, future nurse leaders and nurse practitioners into our MSN and DNP programs, and future nurse scientists and faculty leaders into our PhD Program. Our ability to recruit the best students in every program has been greatly enhanced by providing students with the tuition support that they need. These funds also help to support faculty participation in professional conferences where their scholarly presentations maintain the reputation that our school has for innovation in nursing practice and education and ethical leadership in nursing.
