Lucy McHale, Catholic '26, is a Nursing major from Brookeville, MD. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the Conway School of Nursing, and what advice she has for prospective students.

Why did you choose to attend Catholic University?

"I choose to attend Catholic University because of the amazing community that it has. I also choose to attend Catholic University because of the professors and their amazing enthusiasm towards teaching. I fell in love with the Nursing student body, and met some of the most amazing Nursing students while touring here."

Why do you want to be a nurse?

"I want to be a nurse truly to help others. I want to be the worker in the background that aids in the recovery of others. I was in a really bad car accident when I was little, and I remember that it was the nurses that took care of me and help me through my struggles. So I truly want to give to others love and care the way I was given love and care when I needed it."

What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?

"My favorite part of being a student at the Catholic University is the community. Although you have the community with your fellow classmates looking to major in the same area, you also have the entire campus which exudes kindness and understanding."

What advice would you give to prospective students?

"Some advice I would give to prospective students is don't be shy, the older students are super kind and are super willing to help you in anyway that they can. I would do everything that you see you can, try every club and meet lots of new people."
