Health Assessment Instructor Job Description
Job Summary:
A health assessment lab nursing instructor is responsible for providing students with the knowledge, skills and communication techniques needed for the students to meet the course's objectives. Closely supervises and guides the students in the nursing skills lab, simulation activities, and objectively evaluates student progress.
Essential Duties:
- Provides instruction of essential health assessment psychomotor skills.
- Instructs students on required modes of communication; verbal, written and electronic.
- Evaluates student performance in nursing skills lab activities, using objective written rubric.
- Works collaboratively with course faculty in the implementation of curriculum for skills lab, including simulation.
- Attends and participates in periodic health assessment team meetings
- Reports to the Course Coordinator
Candidate must have a BS in nursing and obtain a DC nursing license.
