The Catholic University of America football senior Patrick Vidal truly embodies what it means to be a Cardinal student-athlete. WJLA ABC7's Scott Abraham stopped by campus to find out how a defensive lineman getting workouts with the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins already has a completely different career in mind.
Vidal, one of the top defensive linemen in the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) is on course to graduate in 2018 with a degree in nursing. Additionally, he is 23rd in the nation in tackles for loss this season and has been honored this year with a National Football Foundation Scholarship. Vidal has also been nominated to the Allstate / AFCA Good Works Team and has garnered four different weekly honors in 2017.
